There is something magical about German culture and a festival full of foods that we cannot pronounce. And Houston is both doing the best. In March, the Tomball German Heritage Festival returns to Houston for another big weekend of European celebrations.
From March 27 to 29, you can expect live music on four different stages, German dancing, a petting zoo (or grown-up kids at heart), colorful carnival, beer (lots and lots of beer), wine, shopping and makeup.
Starting at 6 p.m., the heritage event takes place in the heart of Old Town Tomball, a town with no shortage of antique shops and adorable vintage vibes.
There will be over 200 vendors at this world famous festival and there will be no shortage of Sauerbraten and soft pretzels.
Admission is free and even parking won’t cost you a dime! But you’re going to want to keep your wallet when you find the beer boots and the soft pretzels.
The event will start from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, and evenings from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, and will end at 6 p.m. on Sunday.
There will be plenty of photo choices, so dress culturally appropriate for the event!
You don’t need to be German to attend, but your purchases will benefit the Tomball Sister City Foundation, a non-profit organization that benefits German culture in Tomball’s sister cities.
As we look forward to another big year of Wurstfest and German Christmas markets in Houston, head to the Tomball fest to hold you back!
