It’s time to dust off those Lederhosen! The 17th Annual Chippewa Falls Oktoberfest Celebration is scheduled for September 17-18 at the Northern Wisconsin Fairgrounds, showcasing traditional German music, food and – of course! – Beer. This year will bring new activities for kids and Glockenspiel acts, as well as some favorite local competitions, such as stein holding, sauerkraut eating and barrel rolling.
The weekend begins with the announcement of the Festmeister and the Festmeisterin on the grounds of the Leinenkugel Brewery on Friday noon, followed by the Golden Keg procession to the exhibition center and the putting into operation of the Golden Keg. Enjoy over 30 artists, vendors, authentic food and lots of dancing!
You won’t want to miss the Sheepshead and Euchre Card Tournament, onsite parade, Kid’s Kingdom, shows, Brass Barn Polka Band, face painting, local musicians, magician Kevin Hall and much more.
