One of Carell’s first jobs was as a rural mail carrier in Littleton, Massachusetts in 1985. Because he was delivering mail in a small town rather than a big city, he was not given a mail truck and instead had to drive his Toyota into town to deliver the mail. He ended up quitting because he said he wasn’t good at the job and ended up moving to Chicago soon after.

He thanks his parents for teaching him how to raise his own.
